Skype, the most popular VoIP client out there, just got updated on iOS allowing iPhone and iPad users to now send images to their contacts. So far, you could only send images on the desktop version of Skype, but not in the mobile app. The update is still so far an iOS-only affair, but we expect it to arrive to Android sooner rather than later.
Along with the new image sending functionality, the update brings the usual set of performance improvements and bug fixes. It also enhances privacy settings and slightly tweaks the visuals of Skype for iOS.
If for some reason you are still not using Skype, you should know that it allows you to call (or voice call) and message your contacts for absolutely free from both a mobile device and traditional computers. Skype is a free, so it wouldn't hurt giving it a shot.
